When a purchase is made, you can create a miscellaneous, equipment, or fixed assets purchase order and then work easily with each type in a standard screen. The system gives you the choice to use either an automatically-assigned order number or to create your own, then allows you to apply integrated accounts payable vendor information to the order, and adjust the order's item, shipping and freight details.

For equipment purchase orders, you can also modify stock, price and inventory information. When creating fixed asset orders, the PFW Purchase Order System allows you to also manage asset, depreciation, and maintenance account details. Miscellaneous purchase orders allow you the choice to enable accounts payable integration, note purchase order taxation, assign items to specific general ledger accounts and profit centers, or default all items to one general ledger account or distribute an item over several general ledger accounts or profit centers.

Integrated and Time Saving
With the PFW Purchase Order System, you can save time and effort by eliminating your need to manually track and store equipment and miscellaneous purchase order details. Integrated with the dealer business system's accounts payable, the PFW Purchase Order System provides you with an interface you can use to transfer receiving information and accounting distribution into an accounts payable voucher, which saves you steps when you create the voucher. As well, in order to eliminate the keying of repetitive purchase orders, a copy feature is available that lets you make a duplicate copy of an existing purchase order.

Ease of Use
Written specifically for the IBM® Power6™, the PFW Purchase Order System incorporates familiar screen elements common in Windows applications, such as smart icons, toolbars and drop-down menus. The graphical user interface makes the system easy to use and navigate and you can customize the main window grid to suit your needs: columns can be rearranged, widths and heights can be adjusted, and unwanted columns can be removed.
