With separate applications designed specifically for equipment and parts, PFW’s Wireless Inventory Control solution helps ensure inventory information is current and accurate, helping eliminate unwanted write-offs and improving customer service. Equipment Inventory Control
PFW’s Equipment Inventory Control application allows users to wirelessly input all the vital information relating to their equipment – including hours, branch and yard location as well as attachments – directly into IntelliDealer from a laptop or PDA. Whether the equipment is in a service bay, a warehouse or on the lot, all the information you could need – including stock number, description, serial number, branch or location, class or group, model, year, hours and status – is right in the palm of your hand. Better still, every time a piece of equipment is “touched”, rented, moved or brought up in the system in any way, the date, purpose and user initials are recorded automatically, making it easier than ever to track the usage of your fleet.

Parts Inventory Control
Having instant access to accurate parts inventory information from anywhere in the dealership can help improve customer service by giving staff the information they need, right when they need it. PFW’s Parts Inventory Control application also helps achieve increased accuracy and efficiency through reduced manual data entry and faster data capture. It allows staff to perform cyclical inventory counts on a regular basis – without having to keep everyone else off of the business system. The Parts Receipting function allows users to record parts orders as they enter the shipping/receiving area and makes receiving everything from a single stock order to multiple emergency orders stress- and hassle-free. When it comes to creating orders or packing slips, Parts Inventory Control makes it as easy as walking down the aisle and scanning the barcodes of the items you want on the list.

While both Wireless Inventory Control applications were designed to work with existing PDAs – and can even be used on any laptop – PFW also offers a handheld terminal solution that provides the ability to easily collect data with the combined convenience of mobility, scanning and web- browser technology. The easy-to-use Symbol SPT-8800 can withstand harsh conditions as it was designed for use in manufacturing and industrial environments – and is even available with an optional trigger accessory to make scanning bar codes as easy as point-and-shoot.
